So they have started to ban these type of comic sketches at a higher rate… I know abortion is also a religious issue (weirdly), but does making fun of it make it offensive? maybe just making witty comedy shows the many solid judgements and ethical aproaches that stand in today’s society. should sarcasm be banned? is this not the main waepon that philosophers use? Jokes aren’t always made to be smart, I agree, and they just ban cartoons like Family Guy and South Park because they’re affraid of people being educated through comedy. But if one cannot discern between what he hears and what his own life lessons are, than that’s his own fault. Stupid people watch Family Guy and act like douchebags.

Family Guy (in traducere libera : Familistul) este, alaturi de South Park si de The Simpsons, absolutul comediei siropoase tipic americana. Un sitcom obisnuit ar face umor pe baza intamplarilor de zi cu zi, dar Family Guy reuseste sa faca acest umor depasit prin introducerea glumelor despre grasi, redusi mintal, rahat, situatii politice, natiuni, etc fara a deranja privitorul sau persoana/situatia in cauza.
Astfel, o familie de irlandezi care locuieste intr-un oarecare oras american (Peter- un idot gras , Lois- sotia casnica, Brian – cainele vorbitor si totodata cult, Meg – adolescenta neadaptata societatii, Chris – fiul idoiot si gras, Stewie – bebelusul, un geniu malefic) parodiaza diferite seriale sau filme cunoscute. Nimic nou pana aici, dar modul in care o fac este unul sarcastic si exagerat.Dar aceste exagerari sunt extraordinar de bine gandite si intercalate cu scurte faze comice. Pe langa parodii veti intalni si un oarecare rasism, fapt ce a anulat pentru scurta perioada difuzarea pe FOX; veti intalni adrese jignitoare altor showri concurente, diferitelor personalitati (George Bush, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears) care dau originalitate sitcomului; glume si gag-uri despre moarte, crime, alcool; cuvinte obscene spuse frumos. Intr-o sintagma: absurditati exagerate. Cu siguranta va vor starni amuzamentul si interesul de a urmari intreaga serie.
Credeati ca asta e tot? Nu v-am prezentat vecinii `nebunilor` (Joe – un politist in scaun cu rotile, Bonnie – sotia care este insarcinata de foarte mult timp, Glenn- un burlac obsedat de sex, Clevland – un negru si atat, Loretta – sotia negrului) care fac din Spooner Street un cartier de pomina. Cu siguranta, lista personajelor este foarte lunga, iar daca Married with children (Familia Bundy) v-a placut, de Family Guy va veti indragosti.
